AnyDoc solutions form the centralized processing platform for leading IT service provider VRSG, saving time and expenses for clients’ document processing.

Zug/St. Gallen, Switzerland — March 17, 2011 —AnyDoc Software, a leading provider of automated classification and document and data capture, has centralized the document processing for Verwaltungsrechenzentrum AG St. Gallen (VRSG), one of the leading IT companies for cantonal, city, and municipal administrative authorities in Switzerland.

VRSG implemented AnyDoc Software products including the award-winningOCR for AnyDoc®to ensure the centralized, consistent, and smooth performance of all document processing for its clients. To continue to meet all cantonal and municipal administrative requirements, VRSG needed a central processing platform for quick and cost-effective processing on-site at their data processing center.

To select its new solution provider, VRSG evaluated five providers before selecting AnyDoc Software. “The deciding factors were the excellent price-performance ratio and the licensing model, which also allows individual modules to be licensed, rather than ordering an entire package of applications,” said Ramon Scherrer, Software Development Project Manager at VRSG.  “Another important consideration was the wide-ranging and attractive portfolio of products that can be integrated and combined effectively with one another.”

Before AnyDoc Software was implemented, VRSG had been using applications from various capture providers. Because this involved the use of several non-compatible components, the processing and post-editing processes could not be carried out and monitored via a central platform, which increased time and costs. Furthermore, the applications did not provide adequate support for target files and index formats. In contrast, the AnyDoc solution provides extensive support for the workflows in these areas. Due to the ever-increasing demand from VRSG’s clients for local scanning with central processing, the company sought a complete solution from a single source, according to Scherrer. “The AnyDoc solutions are sophisticated and stable, but, at the same time, their modular structure makes them so flexible and scalable that not only do they meet our existing requirements, but they can also support our future growth. We are extremely satisfied with both the technology and the team provided by AnyDoc.”

The concept phase was launched as an initial study carried out by VRSG. In cooperation with AnyDoc, a proof of concept stage was then added which used VRSG clients’ actual documents. After a smooth implementation of the software, the new processing platform was tested using real data from the data processing center, and proved to be stable and efficient.

Now all client document processes are gradually being transferred to the new central platform. VRSG is usingAnyDoc®CAPTUREitâ„¢for local and remote document capture,AnyDoc®MANAGEitâ„¢to oversee the OCR for AnyDoc processing environment, andAnyDoc®EXCHANGEitâ„¢, a seamless data transfer tool for multiple output formats. Thanks to the new infrastructure, VRSG can continue to expand its range of scanning services in the future.

Daniel Izsak, General Manager for AnyDoc Software Europe & Africa, is also satisfied with the results of the project. “We have already successfully completed numerous projects in these areas, but it is always good to see that the customer is satisfied and our software has fulfilled the expectations placed on it. Centralized processing is becoming the standard for many enterprise companies, and AnyDoc makes the transition easy by providing a high-quality all-in-one solution.”

With revenue of more than 48 million Swiss francs in 2009, VRSG is among the top 500 companies in the Swiss IT sector. The company’s core competence is its comprehensive planning, implementation, and professional operation of IT solutions for cantonal and municipal administrative authorities.  The service provider’s workforce of approximately 200 employees currently provides expert support for around 260 clients of all sizes in all major areas of activity.
