INDIE FEST USA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP a division of the parent INDIE FEST USA ENTERTAINMENT LTD has contracted with THE “ DOES IT TASTE LIKE CANDY? “ TELEVISION NETWORK to co-produce their INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER & MUSIC FESTIVAL for 2009.

Pleasanton, CA (RCWPM) June 30, 2009 – When the production team at “DOES IT TASTE LIKE CANDY? “ Television Network(s) approached INDIE FEST USA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP to secure and position their network on the RED CARPET so as to capture celebrity arriving at Downtown Disney© District, Anaheim, CA., they had no idea that the opportunity would escalate to a full blown co-production of the entire venue says, Giovanni Leiva VP of MEDIA SALES. “We were only looking for the opportunity to have a presence on the RED CARPET alongside our competitor networks; where we can conduct interviews of the filmmakers and industry professionals, in addition to interviewing the celebrity that will attend to support independent filmmaking. We saw a festival that had the support of Motion Picture & Network Television celebrity, and we wanted to be there, to be a part of that. “We knew that we had a window of opportunity that we were working with, and that window would soon close, so we made the overture to the board, in the hopes that they would see the power behind the eagerness of a startup Television Network that wanted to collaborate with an Independent filmmaker festival that was attracting the attention of the entertainment industry, as a whole, says Giovanni.

August 22nd - 28th of 2009 will prove to be, but the beginning of a banner year for INDIE FEST USA 2009. Among the many film festivals slated to kick off this year, INDIE FEST USA 2009 looks to set themselves apart from all the rest. A lifetime Achievement Award is in place to be presented to the preeminent Vampire star, of the Cult Classic, “Dark Shadows.” Jonathan Frid, who played Barnabus, was the vampire that your mother would watch terrorize Collinwood, as she did the family ironing, or prepared the family dinner. Jonathan Frid, who resides in Canada, may not make it to the festival, but this will not stop the festival from honoring a great actor that contributed to American pop culture, in such a big way.

The “Does it taste like Candy? “ Television Network(s) will do for INDIE FEST USA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, what butter & syrup do for Pancakes, says Giovanni. We look ever forward to providing the presence on the RED CARPET that will further show that the industry will step out of their comfort zone, and support something worthy, and dignified.
