14-003 Road closing for Marine Corps Trials cycling event

Camp Pendleton, Calif. --

Las Pulgas Rd. will be closed to all traffic, with the exception of event vehicles and emergency first responders, between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. as a part of the Marine Corps Trials cycling event that will be held in the 41 and 43 Areas here on Sunday.

Stuart Mesa Rd., North of Donald Cook Rd. near Assault Craft Unit 5, will also be closed between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The race start/finish will be adjacent to Bldg. 43351 near Las Pulgas Rd. The race will continue down Las Pulgas Rd. and merge onto Stuart Mesa Rd. at Rancho Las Flores. Competitors will turn back near Edson Range in the 31 Area, ending in Las Pulgas via the same route.

No bicycles will be allowed onto the base prior to 12 p.m. to provide competing cyclists the safest course possible.
