PressReleasePointToronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics  recommends its 16 slot media converter chassis used with card-type media converters. This instrument accepts 16 media converter cards within a rack-mountable chassis which supplies unified power.
This 16 slot media converter chassis, model C0340002, features over voltage, over current and short circuit protection. It reduces links, simplifies structure and eases management and maintenance. This media converter chassis is equipped with dual cooling fans and LEDs status panel for slot and fan power status. Its 19-inch standard design helps to save expensive data center space.
This media converter can be powered by a single or dual power source to meet the user's application requirements. If a dual power supply is used, the load of each power supply is reduced and the life of the power supply is extended. If one power supply faults, the other one can work independently thus enhancing the reliability of the rack. In addition, 10/100M, 10/100/1000M converter cards can be plugged into it. Every 10/100M Converter Card occupies one slot, and every 10/100/1000M Converter Card occupies two slots.
This 16 slot media converter chassis belongs to GAO's family of Media Converters.
