Today UCAS publishes statistics on all full-time undergraduate applications submitted on time for the 30 June deadline – the final chance for applicants to submit a selection of university and college choices through the main scheme. Applications received after this date go into Clearing.
The total number of 2014 cycle applicants at the 30 June deadline is 659,030, an increase of 4% compared to the same point last year.
These reports cover all applicants who have applied by the June deadline - including those who applied by the earlier October, January and March deadlines.
There are seven publications in this release. The first, Deadline Applicant Statistics: June, is a summary report. The remaining six June Deadline Analysis publications focus on a single analytical topic in detail.
All releases report the 2014 cycle in the context of a five cycle time series.
Deadline Applicant Statistics: June
June deadline applicants in the standard format as used in the October, January and March deadline statistical releases. It summarises applicants by domicile, country of institution and whether they are reapplying or not.
There were 659,030 applicants at the June deadline in 2014.
June Deadline Analysis: Domicile
Applicants by domicile group, country of the UK, English region and overseas country.
There were 544,580 applicants from the UK at the June deadline, 45,380 from other EU countries and 69,060 from countries outside the EU.
