Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Asset Tacking (www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) has released an outdoor active RFID whip antenna which is well designed for optimal radio frequency (RF) reception performance with GAO RFID Asset Tracking's active RFID readers. The UHF RFID antenna is commonly used in applications where omni-directional RF reception is required where tag orientation is unknown, such as in fleet management, vehicle yard management and container monitoring.
This outdoor whip antenna, model 304005, has a 3dBi gain and is an ideal solution for wall mounting applications. It is shipped with a 5m coax cable terminated with a BNC(M) connector; the whip is 450mm long. This antenna conforms to ETS 300 019 standard and is finished with UV resistant plastic case making it outstanding in harsh outdoor use. The RFID antenna should be mounted as high as possible and face the tags in its operating environment for optimal performance.
