A&P’s Gulf States region has been awarded the top AGC Safety Award for its outstanding safety performance in 2009.

Dallas, Texas—May 11, 2010— The award recognizes the region’s achievement of zero incidents and zero loss days during more than 1.4 million work hours in 2009.
The region’s safety accomplishments reflect A&P’s corporate commitment to safety, which has resulted in one of the best safety records in the industry among companies of comparable size. During 2009 the company surpassed 3.5 million work hours without a lost time accident, and its current EMR is 0.53, nearly half the industry average.
A&P and other award recipients will be honored June 15 at an awards dinner during the AGC Texas Building Branch annual convention on South Padre Island.
