ABC-CLIO AND GREENWOOD HONORED BY RECENT MAJOR AWARD WINS, INCLUDING THE DARTMOUTH MEDAL

Santa Barbara, CA — February 2, 2009 —It was announced at an awards ceremony during ALA's Midwinter Conference in Denver that RUSA's Dartmouth Medal for the most outstanding and significant reference work of the year went to Greenwood Press's Pop Culture Universe. This marks the first Dartmouth win for Greenwood and ABC-CLIO, and the latest in a string of major awards won by the newly integrated company.
Pop Culture Universe, which presents material from over 300 sources with a clear and fun interface and state-of-the-art interactive features, including a blog on its homepage, is the first electronic recipient of the Dartmouth Medal.
