Actor Dave Bresnahan and his son Joseph say they had the time of their life in the fantasy film series Mythica starring Kevin Sorbo.

Sandy, UT, May 16, 2014 - (PressReleasePoint) - Watching fantasy, sci-fi, and adventure films like the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Star Trek is fun, but actually being in the next major fantasy film was an experience this father and son will never forget.

Dave Bresnahan has been acting for many years. His son Joseph (18) has just begun his acting career. Recently the two were able to be in some battle scenes for the fantasy film series Mythica. Bresnahan’s acting profile is on IMDB at http://www.IMDB.me/davebresnahan.

“This ranks as one of the top father and son experiences we’ve had. Being in a film together is cool, but being in a major battle scene of an awesome fantasy film made this something neither of us will ever forget,” said Dave Bresnahan. “It was even more fun because I had a rather dramatic death,” he added with a smile.

Bresnahan not only acted in the film, he has become a Kickstarter backer of Mythica: A Quest for Heroes, the first film in the series. Anyone can be added to the film credits as a backer, and get a variety of other gifts depending on the backer level chosen. The deadline to participate is May 18, 2104. The full details are at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/arrowstorm/mythica-a-quest-for-heroes-starring-kevin-sorbo.

Both Bresnahans played the role of a medieval soldier. Dave Bresnahan had a minor speaking role, and his character had a dramatic death scene at the hands of the villain in the film. In order to continue to appear in the film after his character died, he played the role of an orc and again died in another battle scene.

“I die a lot in the movies I’m in. I’m really good at it. I died in the first film I was ever in back in my college days, and I just keep dying,” said Bresnahan, laughing.

The father and son team have recently been in several other films together, including Saints and Soldiers: Battle of the Tanks, H8RZ (Haters), some short films, and commercials.

“When the opportunity is right it will be fun to be in a film together again, but usually that doesn’t happen very often. And it would be hard to do something that was as much fun as working together in Mythica. It will be an incredible film series fantasy fans will love,” said Bresnahan.

The Mythica series of films are produced by Arrowstorm Entertainment (http://www.ArrowstormEntertainment.com), a Utah-based production studio. They make sci-fi, action, and fantasy films, and believe that capturing the imagination of the audience is their key to success.
