(Dexter, MI) - June 1, 2009 - Adair took home the Gold Printing Award from the Detroit Club of Printing House of Craftsman.  The winning Comic Book was a special edition comic book for a local comic book publisher, Monolith, out of Detroit, MI.

The "Rapid City Comic Book B-Sides" was distributed to a select group of people at Comic-Con in New York this past year.  Monolith gave the comic to a select group of people that helped them out during leaner times at the company, a way of giving back to those that paid it forward.  The comic is a semi-autobiographical superhero comic book based loosely on the writer's experiences in the Kalamazoo, Michigan punk-rock scene.

Adair was impressed with the design and layout and entered the comic in an annual print competition that features the best of the best for the Detroit region.  The comic was a hit at the annual dinner as many printers picked up the comic and looked it over.  This printing award has helped secure a place for Adair in the Comic Printing Industry.
