ADT employees to volunteer 13,000 hours on ADT Annual Day of Service;
ADT Always Cares Program Supports130 Charitable Organizations Across North America

Boca Raton, Fla. August 14, 2014 – ADT (NYSE: ADT), a leader in home security and automation, was founded on August 18, 1874 – 140 years ago. To commemorate this milestone in the company’s longstanding history of building trust in the communities it serves, ADT has announced its first-ever company-wide Day of Service. On Saturday, August 16, 2014, thousands of ADT team members from across North America will volunteer an estimated 13,000 hours in a single day to support over a hundred charitable organizations, including the American Red Cross, Second Harvest Food Bank, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and local first responder organizations.
From building homes to refurbishing public spaces, ADT is able to measure employees’ participation in activities that are making a real impact in their local areas. In fact, nearly 40 percent of all eligible employees have volunteered through the ADT Always Cares community service program since it launched in June 2013, far surpassing the average participation rate for most corporate volunteer initiatives[1]. ADT partners with VolunteerMatch, the largest online volunteer engagement network, to provide employees with resources and opportunities to easily get involved.
