Teams contributed more than 550 hours of service, helping Habitat to complete its goal of building 36 homes

Boca Raton, Fla. March 4, 2013 – 120 ADT South Florida team members participated in Habitat for Humanity’s Volunteer Challenge in January, helping to build ten homes for nearly 40 families in Palm Beach County. Contributing more than 550 hours of service, ADT employees painted homes, landscaped around properties, and performed site cleaning, enabling Habitat to achieve its goal of building 36 homes and meet the requirements of a federal grant.

“We are grateful for the many volunteer hours that ADT’s employees contributed to this very important project,” said Bernard J. Godek, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County. “Without their efforts, Habitat would not have been able to meet its goal of providing these families homes in time for the summer season.”

“The Habitat Volunteer Challenge was a fun way to help families, support our community, and build camaraderie and teamwork within our department,” said Mike Roberts, assistant general counsel at ADT. “Painting homes for families to enjoy was meaningful and a great team experience,” said June Adams, chief compliance officer.

“ADT team members put forth a tremendous effort to help Habitat complete its goal,” said Anita Graham, chief human resources officer at ADT. “This is the second Habitat build project in less than a year where ADT employees have volunteered, and both times they have told us how rewarding it is to see deserving families move into their own homes.”
