Advancement Through Education Program Announces Increase in Adult Education Opportunities

Advancement through education program (ATEP) announces various new education opportunities for working adults.

NY,NY, October 19, 2010 – Advancement Through Education Program (ATEP) in collaboration with students at the University of Texas,Austin, announced plans today to increase membership for its adult mentorship programs.

ATEP obtains qualified adults for their program from Austin Community College. The adults that we sponsor for the Austin Community College GED Program are required to speak to the young people of our community about the importance of education. Their testimonies benefit the community, while allowing our adult learners to sharpen their public speaking skills.

ATEP collaborates with Austin Community College by obtaining a pool of adults that qualify for ATEP programs. We sponsor these adults by paying for their GED examinations and providing tutoring to help them successfully overcome challenging subjects. We also incorporate professional development events into our model by inviting professionals from companies to discuss available job opportunities

“ATEP currently sponsors five adults and we will continue to increase the number of applicants we sponsor throughout the fall “stated Ryan Brown, Founder and Executive Director, ATEP. “ATEP also plans to establish more partnerships in the coming year with community colleges throughout the State of Texas” added Brown.
