Brisbane, Qld, Australia., January 31, 2012 - (PressReleasePoint) - Neutral air freight wholesale specialists, Air Cargo Group, is well positioned to play a major role in the Australian import and export neutral wholesale consolidation market.
ACG chairman Christos Spyrou said that GFI Airlift Consolidators in Australia and Shipco Airfreight in the United States and Asia, both founding members of the Air Cargo Group, had introduced Scheduled Consolidations from all major US and China Gateways to Australia.
He said the move would offer ACG clients additional direct services at very competitive rates for payloads to and from these important markets.
Senior vice-president of Shipco Airfreight, Kim Ekstroem, said his clients would benefit greatly with the opportunity to be involved with GFI Airlift.
“With 11 gateways into the United States and its own airfreight presence throughout Asia, Shipco and GFI Airlift brings an unmatched offering to the Australian market, which no other neutral wholesaler can provide,” Mr Ekstroem said.
Managing Director of GFI Airlift, Paul King, said Shipco Airfreight was an obvious partner for the company to expand into the USA and Asian trade lanes to and from Australia.
“GFI Airlift is a great fit for us being a well established Neutral Airfreight Wholesaler who always takes a professional approach to everything they do,” Mr King said.
“GFI Airlift’s coverage across many states and cities provides us with a reach our customers have never had before. Their investment in an online presence also matches our own and through this and our own block space consolidations we will look for bigger and better things in 2012,” Mr King said.
Mr Spyrou also announced that ACG member CFR Freight (South Africa) had added further scale to its operations by successfully operating neutral Scheduled Consolidations with guaranteed capacity from Asia, USA, and Europe to Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban.
