AlarmPoint Systems Announces New Advanced Integration to Microsoft SCOM

PLEASANTON, CA - January 19, 2010 -

AlarmPoint Systems, provider of the leadingAlert Management platform, today announced a new advanced integration to Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). AlarmPoint for Microsoft SCOM builds on Microsoft's superior event management capabilities and adds the concept of immediate and targeted information delivery. The combined solutions enable companies to remotely manage complex IT services with increased effectiveness and fewer resources.

Through this new integration, events detected by Microsoft SCOM can now be dynamically assigned to the correct individuals and teams, delivering critical event information, and allowing acknowledgement, ownership and closure updates. Utilizing the AlarmPoint platform guarantees:

• Accountability, accuracy and assignments can be controlled by the groups or individuals responsible for ensuring service levels are met.

The new AlarmPoint integration for Microsoft SCOM provides a web based event assignment panel allowing each group supervisor to assign and define their own escalations and service levels. AlarmPoint delivers information to recipients via voice, SMS messaging, email, and pager from any mobile device including BlackBerry, iPhone and Droid, allowing for real-time decisions to acknowledge, assign and close the event. When a response is selected from the device, AlarmPoint updates the status, records annotations and closes the event directly in Microsoft SCOM. The end result is an accelerated incident resolution process utilizing automation to remove manual steps.
