Alegent Health Rolls Out Unified Monitoring Solution Across Entire IT Infrastructure

Leading healthcare organization uses NMS to automate alerting and ensure optimal performance and availability of critical systems

Redwood City, Calif. - March 9, 2010 - Nimsoft, Inc., the first provider of Unified Monitoring™ solutions, today announced that Alegent Health is using the Nimsoft Monitoring Solution (NMS) to monitor the health and performance of more than 600 servers, both physical and virtual, for its 10 hospitals in the larger Omaha, Nebraska area. Alegent, the largest faith-based healthcare system in Nebraska and southwest Iowa, will use NMS to maintain high service levels, control costs and keep critical systems running 24x7.

NMS will offer a unified view of the entire infrastructure, including Alegent’s HP and Unix servers, as well as complex medical applications and databases that must stay available 24x7. The new solution enables Alegent to significantly cut administrative and maintenance costs while simplifying operations.
