For the third consecutive year AlertMe, the Smart Home technology company, has revealeda snapshot of UK energy use during Christmas Day and Boxing Day across the UK, comparing the figures from last Christmas with those of previous years.

London, United Kingdom, January 24, 2012 - (PressReleasePoint) - For the third consecutive year AlertMe, the Smart Home technology company, has revealeda snapshot of UK energy use during Christmas Day and Boxing Day across the UK, comparing the figures from last Christmas with those of previous years.

The interactive map shows the trend of power use during the festive period, with significant changes taking place especially in large cities like London. These cities have registered a fall during the period between December 23^rd and December 30^th largely as a result of people leaving the city to visit friends and family.

If the country was firmly in the red zone on Christmas Day in 2009, 2010 saw an overall improvement, while a slight rise was experienced during Christmas Day last year. On the other hand, Boxing Day shows a steady improvement from 2009 to 2011, registering quite a drastic change compared to Christmas Day.
