Alfresco Gift Wraps Five New Premium Language Packs in Time for the Holidays

LONDON – December 21, 2010 – Alfresco Software, provider of the open platform for social content management, today announced the availability of a range of new user interface language packs inAlfresco Community 3.4. The language packs, available in French, German, European Spanish, Italian and Japanese, are the first to have been developed by Alfresco with support from a leading localization vendor.

In today’s global economy making products available in a local language has become increasingly critical. Alfresco’s commitment to its growing world-wide user base made the development of quality language packs a logical next step.

“More than half of Alfresco’s customers are based in non-English speaking countries, with our largest base of partners, customers and community members located in France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Japan, so we are responding to the needs of our global users.” explained Denis Dorval, VP of Sales at Alfresco Software. “Our strategy of investing in a structured localization process for Alfresco, using a leading localization vendor, will play a key role in supporting our international customer base.”

The localization process ensures Alfresco’s localized products will perform as if it was originally created for use in the intended country. Professional localization teams will help improve consistency of the language and terms used and will greatly enhance acceptance by end users.

The first language packs are available now in the Alfresco Community download and will be incorporated into the Alfresco Enterprise 3.4 release early in 2011.
