Focused on addressing key challenges agencies face -- from open government directives, to stricter record-keeping and internal control mandates, to tighter budgets, Content.Gov is geared toward public sector technology executives and content management experts, with a specific interest in enterprise content management (ECM), collaboration and open-source.
Case studies being presented will discuss how:
- HUD invested in Alfresco to manage millions of case records by working with Armedia.
- The US Army successfully replaced a legacy, home-grown system with Alfresco.
- The National Academy of Sciences deployed a robust, multi-tiered website using Alfresco that resulted in faster publishing and a richer site experience with Rivet Logic.
- The City of Denver migrated a multi-million node records management system to Alfresco, saving money and expanding services to its citizens based on the advice of Zia Consulting.
“The challenges that public sector agencies currently face are more demanding than ever before,” noted Alfresco founder and CTO John Newton, who will present the event keynote. “Agencies are expected to be more open and transparent while facing stricter controls and budget cuts. We are excited to have Alfresco customers present their own experiences to further reveal the opportunity open source ECM presents.”
