Members of the public are invited to join the North East Wildlife Photography Competition Awards Ceremony on Thursday 3 July, at Great North Museum: Hancock, between 5.30pm - 8.00pm.

The evening is being organised by the Museum, Natural History Society of Northumbria and the three North East Wildlife Trusts (Durham, Tees Valley and Northumberland) to launch an exhibition of the best entries to the 2014 North East Wildlife Photography Competition, supported by Nestle, which had an array of expert judges including ITV Weatherman Ross Hutchinson and Tony Henderson, Environment Editor of The Journal.

So, whether you are a wildlife lover, photography enthusiast or just keen to avoid the TV that night, you are more than welcome to attend and be the first to see the 95 stunning photographic entries that were judged to be the best, applaud the winners as they are announced and receive their awards and enjoy a talk by experienced wildlife and conservation photographer Alan Hewitt, of Alan Hewitt Photography.
