alley National Bank Appoints Andy Tsamis To Vice President, Payroll Manager

WAYNE, N.J. – Monday, January 10, 2011– Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp (NYSE:VLY), has appointed Andy Tsamis to Vice President, Payroll Manager.

Mr. Tsamis joined Valley National Bank in 2000 as a Payroll Analyst. In 2005, he was promoted to Assistant Payroll Manager. As Payroll Manager, he develops and controls all appropriate checks and balances to ensure accurate and timely payroll preparation and processing. He establishes compliance with all payroll tax laws and federal and state regulations. He handles all payroll tax reporting, preparation of relevant management reports, payroll systems maintenance and coordinates auditing efforts with state and federal agencies. Mr. Tsamis is also responsible for managing the activities of the payroll department staff.

Mr. Tsamis received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics from Montclair State University and he is currently a member of the American Payroll Association.
