alley National Bank Appoints Jennifer Yager To First Vice President, Assistant Director Of AML/BSA Compliance

WAYNE, N.J. – Friday, January 14, 2011– Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp (NYSE:VLY), has appointed Jennifer Yager to First Vice President, Assistant Director of AML/BSA Compliance.

As Assistant Director of AML/BSA Compliance, she works closely with the AML Director to develop and manage the Bank’s anti-money laundering program to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy act, USA Patriot Act and associated regulations. Prior to joining Valley in 2005, Ms. Yager served as an Intelligence Research Specialist for the NY/NJ High Intensity Financial Crime Area (HIFCA) and as a BSA Specialist at a large financial institution.

Ms. Yager received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Communications from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
