alley National Bank Appoints Martha Harcarik To Vice President

WAYNE, N.J. – Wednesday, January 19, 2011– Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp (NYSE:VLY), announced today the appointment of Martha Harcarik to Vice President/District Operations Manager of the Bank’s Union, New Jersey district.

Ms. Harcarik joined Valley in 2006 and brings over 22 years of banking experience to her position. As a District Operations Manager, she works to improve operational efficiency in the 20 branches within her district, with an emphasis on customer service and satisfaction. She is also responsible for staffing and the development of branch personnel through ongoing training and coaching efforts designed to elevate branch performance. Prior to being appointed to her current role, Ms. Harcarik served as the Branch Sales Manager for Valley’s Mountainside branch.
