alley National Bank Appoints Theresa Hunt To Vice President

WAYNE, N.J. – Thursday, January 20, 2011– Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp (NYSE:VLY), announced today the appointment of Theresa Hunt to Vice President/District Operations Manager of the Bank’s Bergen, New Jersey district.

Ms. Hunt joined Valley in 1990. As a District Operations Manager, she works to improve operational efficiency in the 18 branches within her district, with an emphasis on customer service and satisfaction. She is also responsible for staffing and the development of branch personnel through ongoing training and coaching efforts designed to elevate branch performance. Prior to being appointed to her current role, Ms. Hunt served as a Branch Manager for Valley’s Waldwick branch.

Ms. Hunt received an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Bergen Community College.
