Property owners, tenants and business partners work together to clean up park for community’s use.
(Indianapolis, Ind. – June 25, 2014) The newly formed AllPoints at Anson Alliance, a group composed of Duke Realty, Browning and Express Scripts, property owners in the northern sector of AllPoints at Anson, as well as tenants in the industrial park including GNC, PopWeaver, CEVA Logistics and Amazon Fulfillment, partnered with Whitestown Lions Park for a community cleanup day at the park.
More than 20 volunteers gathered at the park, located off County Road 650 in Whitestown, on Tuesday, June 24, and worked throughout the day cleaning up large brush piles, removing dead trees, painting, weeding, spreading mulch and aiding in the overall cleanup and beautification of the park.
“The AllPoints at Anson Alliance was formed to foster good working relationships between property owners, the Town of Whitestown and our partner tenants,” said Charlie Podell, Senior Vice President of Duke Realty’s Indiana operations. “Along those lines, the Alliance feels that giving back to the community is very important. We were looking for a good place to give our time and energy. When the opportunity at Whitestown Lions Park came up, it seemed like a perfect fit.”
“Several independent contractors that serve the Anson area also stepped up to provide their expertise with plumbing resources, landscaping and general excavation, including Brickman Group, McCoy’s Tree Service, Browning Chapman, Roto Rooter and Accent Coatings,” Podell said.
“We are so grateful to have the businesses in our community partner with us,” said Tony Leak, President of the Whitestown Lions Club. “This park is a great resource for Whitestown and, through the efforts of volunteers such as those in the AllPoints at Anson Alliance, it just keeps getting better and better.”
The Whitestown Lions Club continues to seek partners who are willing to contribute funding or time to make the park a better place. If you or your organization would like to contribute or for more information on becoming a Whitestown Lions Club member, contact the Lions Club at whitestownlions.com.
