Amadeus Consulting, a custom technology solutions company, created a totally optimized database tracking system for ERISA Reporting Company Wrangle, in order to give them faster and better reporting tools for their extensive data management needs.

ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) is a federal law enacted in 1974 that establishes legal guidelines for private pension and employee benefit plans. ERISA Reporting establishes the standards and procedures for pension and benefits plans that designate fiduciaries, delegate responsibility, manage plan funds and define prohibited transactions.

Wrangle LLC came to Amadeus Consulting for assistance with the creation of a custom database design to help the company keep track of the policies and procedures it sends to clients. In order to keep up with rapid growth, Wrangle LLC needed to optimize an existing data reporting process. Wrangle LLC requested a database that could input, filter, sort and report data in a more meaningful and faster way than Excel would allow. Wrangle LLC was confident in Amadeus Consulting’s ability to take an existing Excel based process and make it into a scalable, user-friendly database.

In regards to the successful project, co-founder Kari Schneider said, “The database tracking system that Amadeus Consulting created for us completely optimized our processes and gave us better reporting on our data. The entire experience from requirements to gold release was great.”

Often the transfer of Excel-based procedures to databases can pose challenges due to lack of requirements. However, as a result of Amadeus Consulting’s extensive experience with databases, our team was able to capture all of the client’s needs in the requirement phase, insuring a smooth transition from project beginning to end.

Hosted in Amazon’s S3 Cloud, Wrangle LLC’s Database Tracking System allowed the company all the functionality required to search, filter and report on its procedures as well as track policies sent to clients. Using Visual Studio to create built-in user-functionality, Wrangle LLC was able to import all of its historical data quickly and with ease. Using SQL Server 2005 gave Wrangle the ability to continue to grow past its current 1,000 clients in a scalable environment.

The custom-built system made the reporting process extremely efficient, and is currently assisting the Wrangle team with their rapid growth. Wrangle LLC was extremely pleased with the results, and is looking forward to enhancing this database to meet Wrangle LLC’s future needs.
