Amazing Miracle Fruit Transform Bitters and Sours Into Sweets

Houston, TX (November 5, 2008) – Discovery of West African plant, Miracle Fruit, turns the sour food you eat into sweet tasting foods without the need to add sugar.
Known as Synsepalum dulcificum, the Miracle Fruit plant was discovered by French cartographer, Chevalier des Marchais, while exploring Western Africa during the early 18th century. The berries of the Miracle Fruit are the size of acorns and have a red thin skin. When peeled, it reveals a bulbous white pulp; swirling this pulp around your tongue creates that mysterious effect.
The Miracle Fruit plant produces berries the size of acorns. While small in size, the Miracle Fruit berries are taken by eating the pulp around the seed and dissolving for at least 30-60 seconds around the tongue. The effect only works by applying it to the tongue, not by ingesting the Miracle Fruit berry itself.
What causes Miracle Fruit to turn sour and bitter into sweet? The answer is: Miraculin
Miraculin is an active Glyco-Protein that was first isolated from the Miracle Fruit berry by Japanese scientist, Professor Kenzo Kurihara, in 1968. It received its name as Miracle Fruit because the berry itself has no particular taste. Miracle Fruit, once exposed to the tongue, glyco-proteins temporarily modifies tongue receptor cells to perceive only sweet, interferes or “distorts” the way the sour and bitter receptors of the tongue normally works.
Having been eaten for hundreds of years, there are no known side effects from consuming Miracle Fruit other than the effect lasting approximately 2 hours on average. Good as an artificial sweetener, Miracle Fruit is helping diabetics and the medically ill eat food and take medicine that would normally be considered bitter or sour.
Lately, the craze has been new Miracle Fruit “Taste Tripping” or “Flavor Tripping” parties, where friends or family in a group consume a Miracle Fruit Tab before tasting normally bitter and sour foods. These include fruits such as lemon, limes, tangerines to foods and vegetables such as cheese, radish, unsweetened cakes, and even beverages such as beer, wine and liquor.
Indeed, the Miracle Fruit has many benefits and many attempts have been made to commercialize the product in the United States. Recent “Miracle Fruit Tabs” or Miracle Fruit Tab are being sold internationally in convenient freeze dried tablets. The consumption process of the Miracle Fruit Tabs are the same; swirling the tab around the tongue until dissolved.
With a packet of Miracle Fruit Tabs containing about 10 tablets, each Miracle Fruit Tab can be broken in half for two servings, for a total of twenty servings. Amazingly enough, the Miracle Fruit Tab is impossible to find at retail stores. The Miracle Fruit Tab packets can be found online priced around $15 on various websites through a quick google search of “Miracle Fruit Tab”
