ATLANTA, GEORGIA – American Megatrends (AMI) is pleased to announce that its AMIBIOS®8 & Aptio®4.x products feature support for the recently expanded Intel® Atom™ processor Z5xx series with Intel® System Controller Hub US15WP and USW15PT.

AMIBIOS8 & Aptio 4.x from AMI support the complete range of Intel® Atom™ processor Z5xx series (Z530, Z510, Z530P, Z520PT, Z510P and Z510PT), using the Intel Atom micro-architecture and Intel® 45nm high-k silicon technology for improved power consumption.

The expanded, even more robust Intel Atom processor Z5xx series is targeted at temperature-sensitive applications in a wide range of form factors. Intel Atom processor Z5xx series can be found in such diverse applications as outdoor kiosks and point-of-sale stations, in-vehicle infotainment systems suitable for all climate zones, and industrial automation and control applications for use in demanding thermal environments.
