NORCROSS, GEORGIA- American Megatrends Incorporated (AMI), a leader in System Manageability and computing innovations, proudly announces the launch of a new website for its MegaRAC® XMS extensible Centralized Management Console, the XMS Manageability Portal atwww.megarac.com/xms.
As a first point of contact for MegaRAC XMS, the XMS Manageability Portal provides an overview on the modular plugin architecture of XMS, detailed information on key XMS features and functionality, product documentation, FAQs and much more. The XMS Manageability Portal will also provide an online demo area for users to familiarize themselves with the XMS console, as well as a portal for downloading free trial versions of MegaRAC XMS and new plugins as they are first released to the market.
MegaRAC XMS is a centralized management solution providing unified access to servers, clients or industrial machines via the network. Offered as installable software for Windows® and Linux OS, MegaRAC XMS is built around a modular, extensible plugin architecture, such that customers can pick and choose the specific manageability that they need. This extensible plugin structure not only allows AMI to add more manageability to XMS, but also enables OEMs to provide value-add to their customers by creating their own management plugins for XMS. With XMS, both OEMs and end users have the advantage to pick and choose only the management features that are needed for their specific solutions, including power management, virtualization support, out-of-band and in-band system monitoring and management, client management, software provisioning and more.
In the words of S. Shankar, AMI President and CEO, "The XMS Manageability Portal is a key component in our push to spread the adoption of XMS outside of our traditional sales avenues. The IT departments of many companies, both large and small, as well as data centers and institutions, are increasingly exerting more control over the provisioning, deployment and management of large networks, and MegaRAC XMS is a robust, mature product that can help manage the heterogeneous devices in these networks and save money through smart power provisioning, reduced downtime and proactive hardware health monitoring. AMI’s goal is to make MegaRAC XMS more widely available to a broader portion of the market, and the XMS Manageability Portal is the first step in establishing a more visible profile for MegaRAC XMS."
Interested parties are encouraged to visit the XMS Manageability Portal website atwww.megarac.com/xmsto learn more about the MegaRAC XMS Extensible Centralized Management Console, its modular plugin architecture, wide range of pre-existing plugins for power and system management - and to download a trial version of MegaRAC XMS today.
