Americans Rank Randy Jackson and Michael Phelps as Most Likeable Celebs For 2009

, October 13, 2009– Results from a series of national media studies which obtained Americans’ ratings of celebrities in the news in 2009, revealed that America Idol judge, Randy Jackson and Olympic swimmer, Michael Phelps ranked as the most likeable.
The results were based on a series of studies that were conducted by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website during January-October of 2009 among Americans who ranked various celebrities on scales of likeability, believability and sincerity. Respondents ranked 33 celebrities who were featured in news stories that were tested by MediaCurves.com® in 2009.
Joe Jackson and Michael Vick ranked lowest on scales of likeability, sincerity and believability. Jon Stewart and Randy Jackson ranked highest on believability while Randy Jackson and Buzz Aldrin ranked highest on sincerity.
Among the findings:
Rankings were based off a 1-7 scale where 1 represents ‘not at all strong in that attribute’ and 7 represents ‘extremely strong in that attribute’
