Andre N. Chammas Joins the Southern Florida Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Board of Trustees

An active member in his community, Chammas forms part of Florida International University’s President’s Council and the United Way’s Young Leaders.

Andre N. Chammas, a Certified Public Accountant and director in the Tax and Accounting Department of the nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of the Southern Florida Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS).

With a mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families, LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The Southern Florida Chapter of LLS serves Broward and Miami-Dade counties, the Florida Keys, Southwest Florida and Puerto Rico. Other elected members to the Board of Trustees of the Southern Florida Chapter of LLS included:
•Charlotte Mather Taylor, Vice President of Government & Public Affairs, Broward Health
•Georgina Gonzalez Robiou, Manager, Hispanic Marketing, Baptist Health South Florida
•Felicia Turnley, Associate Administrator, Memorial Hospital West.

Involved in the accounting profession since 1993, Chammas is a CPA in Florida, Massachusetts, and Georgia. He specializes in financial and tax reporting, tax consulting, devising tax strategies, evaluating clients’ financial and tax conditions and representation before IRS for corporations, partnerships and individuals.

An active member in his community, Chammas forms part of Florida International University’s President’s Council and the United Way’s Young Leaders. Additionally, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
