Los Angeles April 16 2009 (PressReleasePoint) Syndicated pet-talk Animal Radio® celebrates 1000 hours of production with a special anniversary show filled with pet-lovers we all know. The two-hour show will air on 99 AM-FM stations and XM Satellite Radio ch.158 April 25th; and features Food Network’s Iron Chef Cat Cora, RUBES creator Leigh Rubin, actor/host Steven Lee (Law & Order), and best-selling author Michael Schaffer.

CAT CORA is working with the Humane Society of the United States. “It’s 2009. We still have pirates and we're still clubbing baby seals to death.”

STEVEN LEE hosts HGTV's first 'animal-related' show, The controversial Leader of the Pack comes off the shelves for the reality audience. Imagine Survivor meets The Bachelor and Big Brother, 'doggie-style.'

MICHAEL SCHAFFER authored best-selling book One Nation Under Dog: Adventures in the New World of Prozac-Popping Puppies, Dog-Park Politics, and Organic Pet Food. Don't let the long title fool you. Your parents never let the dog in bed. Why are we so different? And do we have to talk about the new First Dog, Bo Obama? We do it anyway.

Listen to this Animal Radio® special broadcast on 99 multi-niche radio affiliates, including KOST 103.5 FM Los Angeles. Animal Radio® also airs twice weekly on XM Satellite Radio ch.158 (America’s Talk - Sat. noon, Sun 5pm EST) as part of Premiere Radio Network’s satellite offerings.
