Announcing Raima's 25th Anniversary World Tour

SEATTLE, WA - July 27, 2010 — Raima Inc., which offers state-of-the-art embedded database and dataflow technologies, today announced that as part of their 25th anniversary celebration they are hitting the road with a World Tour starting in San Jose, California, August 13th. The US tour also includes Dallas, Texas, and New York City. Europe and Asia will begin in October.

"It has been over 25 years since we introduced our first embedded DBMS db_VISTA, now known as RDM Embedded. An early and key customer with whom we had a close working relationship was ROLM Corporation (later acquired by IBM) who used the technology in a sophisticated telephone switch configuration tool", recounts Randy Merilatt, Distinguished Engineer and co-founder of Raima.

Randy and fellow co-founder Wayne Warren, both Distinguished Engineers at Raima Inc., will be presenting at the events. Their keynote will be a look at the history of embedded databases from their perspective and then share their vision of the future of the embedded database. Many of the future functionality have been developed into the latest release of RDM and will be demonstrated at the event.

These one day events are split into two tracks. The first track is for embedded system developers interested in learning about data management within an embedded system as well as how to move data from an embedded device to a corporate enterprise. The second track will focus on the business problems that can be solved with embedded database technology.
