Test and Measurement Instruments Company Deploys Cloud Service to Improve Inventory and Supply Management
OTTAWA, Canada, August, 20, 2014 – Kinaxis®, provider of RapidResponse®, delivering cloud-based SCM and S&OP applications, today announced that Anritsu Company, a global leader in communications test and measurement solutions, has deployed Kinaxis RapidResponse to drive better integration and alignment across the demand, supply and inventory functions of Anritsu’s business, allowing the company to better serve its customers.
With North American supply chain operations headquartered in Morgan Hill, California, Anritsu provides products and services critical to the development, manufacturing, and maintenance of a range of wireline and wireless communications systems. Anritsu’s products are highly configurable and its customers require short delivery times on these complex instruments and precision components. The company wanted to optimize its customer responsiveness by having the most accurate view of inventory levels in-house and at contract manufacturers as possible. The Anritsu team realized an investment in technology was required to attain the necessary visibility and flexibility. Now, with RapidResponse, Anritsu can perform “what if” scenarios and rapidly drill down to the part level at its contract manufacturers, which will greatly improve supply chain visibility and responsiveness to customers.
"In an age where customers require short delivery and responsiveness for even the most complex instrumentation, we want to continue to raise the bar in meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations. We believe RapidResponse is a solution that can help take us to that next level as we dynamically manage the supply chain within a single environment," said Dave Stenfort, Director of Operations at Anritsu. “We look forward to leveraging RapidResponse to streamline our processes, reduce supply chain costs, while being more responsive to our customers.”
“Delivered as a unified set of configurable applications, Kinaxis RapidResponse provides supply chain planning and analytics capabilities that create the foundation for managing multiple, interconnected supply chain management and S&OP processes,” says John Sicard, Chief Products Officer at Kinaxis. “RapidResponse has enabled our customers to radically shrink supply chain planning cycles and response times, while improving the accuracy of analysis and the profitability of actions. Anritsu has a great vision for operating its business and we are proud to be an enabler to Anritsu’s future supply chain success.”
