Antennas Direct Named to Inc 500 List

Aug. 25, 2008: ST. LOUIS, Mo. - St. Louis based antenna manufacturer Antennas Direct was recognized by Inc. magazine for the accomplishment of earning the rank of 380 on the 2008 Inc. 500, which celebrates the fastest-growing private companies in America. The company experienced a 795 percent increase in revenue growth between 2004 and 2007.

Antennas Direct makes over-the-air television antennas specifically designed to capture post 2009 digital TV broadcasts. Company founder and President Richard Schneider said the company's astounding growth was a direct result of the federal Digital Television Transition, which mandates television broadcasting switch from analog transmission to digital transmission by Feb. 17, 2009.

"Television broadcasting has experienced lots of change in the past few years, but advances in TV antenna technology have been stagnant for decades," said Schneider. "Many antennas were designed for a different era, and we've been able to create antennas specifically tuned for the core DTV frequencies. This is a product that people are embracing as over-the-air digital television will often offer the best picture quality."

Building on its success, Antennas Direct recently launched its latest line of digital TV antennas, the ClearStream series. ClearStream antennas are half the size of their predecessors, highly efficient and tuned specifically for the core digital TV frequencies.

The Inc 500 list also ranked Antennas Direct among the top 50 fastest-growing businesses in St. Louis, Mo., and among the top 100 fastest-growing electronics companies in the nation.
