Vancouver, BC - June 25, 2014 - The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada today congratulates its board member, Mr. Dominic Barton, on receiving the Academy of International Business (AIB) Fellows' International Executive of the Year Award. Mr. Barton received the award at the Academy of International Business 2014 Annual Meeting held in Vancouver from June 23-26 and hosted by Simon Fraser University's Beedie School of Business.
The AIB Fellows' International Executive of the Year Award is given out by the AIB Fellows and recognizes a business leader who improved the stature and role of international business at home and abroad.
Dominic Barton is the Global Managing Director of McKinsey & Company. In his 27 years with the firm, Dominic has advised clients in a range of industries including banking, consumer goods, high tech and industrial. He has authored more than 80 articles on the role of business in society, leadership, financial services, Asia, history and the issues and opportunities facing markets worldwide. Dominic is a member of the Canadian Prime Minister's Advisory Committee on the Public Service.
Mr. Barton will deliver a keynote on BC's Place in the Global Economy at a luncheon hosted by the Vancouver Board of Trade as part of the AIB's Annual Meeting on June 26, 2014.
