TMC and Crossfire Media honor the ATEK Service Platform
M2M Evolution Conference & Expo 2014
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., August 14, 2014 --ATEK Access Technologies has received a 2014 M2M Evolution Business Impact Award from TMC and Crossfire Media for its ATEK Service Platform.
The ATEK Service Platform combines The Social Machine® by Etherios with TankScan™, allowing ATEK technical support personnel to remotely monitor TankScan TSM8000 wireless tank level sensors and provide proactive customer service. The award was announced during the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Evolution Conference & Expo, held Aug. 11-15 in Las Vegas.
The M2M Evolution Business Impact Awards recognize a select group of companies and business leaders who have successfully leveraged M2M and/or the Internet of Things (IoT) to solve a business issue, launch a new service or create a revenue opportunity.
“This award promotes the importance of developing M2M solutions that help organizations reduce costs, improve operational efficiency and drive profitability,” said Sherri McDaniel, president of ATEK Access Technologies. “The ATEK Service Platform does all three by allowing us to monitor the health of our wireless tank monitoring systems remotely and identify and address concerns before they become problems. We are honored to receive this award at one of the industry’s leading M2M events.”
By utilizing The Social Machine® by Etherios, a solution that seamlessly connects devices into core business processes on the Salesforce Platform, TankScan technicians can more efficiently and accurately monitor the TankScan TSM8000 with real-time predictive information on the status of every deployed device.
The TankScan TSM8000 is a wireless tank level monitoring solution that provides remote access to liquid tank data from anywhere an Ethernet or cellular connection is available. The ATEK Service Platform allows ATEK technical support personnel to monitor a dashboard within Salesforce.com that provides alerts when any device does something outside of a set of pre-defined parameters. Technical support personnel can then easily generate a case within Salesforce.com and proactively follow-up with customers about their cellular data usage or ship them a new battery, for example.
The Social Machine by Etherios helps organizations transform raw machine data into actionable business information. Products such as TankScan can automatically inform a support organization before they break down. With innovations made possible by The Social Machine, organizations can listen to their connected products and create new levels of internal collaboration, offer enhanced customer service and generate new sources of productivity gain.
