Successful launch sees Samsung and Optus extend exclusive Samsung Galaxy S agreement through August; New Samsung Galaxy S accessories range announced

SYDNEY, Australia – Aug 16, 2010 – Samsung Mobile together with Optus today confirmed they will be extending their agreement for another month for Optus to remain the exclusive carrier for the Samsung Galaxy S following this month’s successful launch. Available only on the Optus network until the end of August 2010, Optus is offering the feature packed Android-powered smartphone for $0 upfront on its $49 ‘Extreme Cap’ plan over 24 months*, making it an incredibly affordable option for anyone looking for a top-of-the-range handset.
The $49 ‘Extreme Cap’ includes 1GB of included data – enabling customers to get the most out of the ‘Smart Life’ and their new Samsung Galaxy S. It also includes $450 worth of standard national calls, text and more~ as well as unlimited access to popular social networking sites – Facebook, Twitter, eBay, LinkedIn, foursquare and MySpace^.
