Auto Insurance Discounts for GM’s OnStar Drivers
North Hollywood, CA - (PressReleasePoint) - January 20, 2008 — Auto insurance policyholders are always looking for a way to save money. InsuranceBureau.com reports One of the Big Three auto dealers, GM is partnering with OnStar and some auto insurance companies to provide a discount to auto insurance consumers.
According to ABC News, Drivers that own a GM vehicle equipped with OnStar may be eligible for up to a 54 percent discount on auto insurance premiums. The discount is open to those in that category who drive less than 15,000 miles. “This is a new take on some of the pay-per-mile auto insurance policies we are seeing,” says InsuranceBureau.com CEO Eric Oster. If an individual uses their car very rarely, such a program may be a great way to save on auto insurance. Pay-per-mile auto insurance programs are generally viewed as an effective way to help the environment since it promotes driving less.
