Avaya and Suez Canal Authority Sign Major Communications Deal at Cairo ICT 2013

CAIRO, EGYPT - Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communication solutions to companies of all sizes around the world, today announced a major deal in connection with Cairo ICT 2013. The Suez Canal Authority is moving their full 15,000 communications ports to Avaya Aura® Communication Manager, this marks an upgrade to the very latest Avaya solutions, providing them with increased mobility, cost reductions, and greater capability and customer service.
 
The Suez Canal authority, one of the most important waterway authorities in the world, is implementing a similarly revolutionary communications capability upgrade, switching 15,000 legacy communications ports over to Avaya Aura® Communication Manager, in a move towards complete unified communications. The upgrade improves employee mobility, centralizing the communications network with Modular Messaging technology that can 'find' employees on any number based off of the time of day, and that coordinates messaging across sms, email and voice services.
 
The agreement will consolidate the organization's communications infrastructure on Avaya Aura®. It also encompasses a broad suite of Avaya technology solutions and expertise, enabling Avaya to enhance technology operations throughout The Suez Canal Authority networks. By using Avaya for this complete end-to-end implementation, the Canal Authroity can move to a standardized communications model, creating a centralized system to manage all of its operations. Replacing the legacy system and upgrading to a capable and well-developed infrastructure, the solution will ensure the interconnectivity of allowing for centralized modular messaging.
