Avaya Transforms Partner and Customer Learning Experience with Virtual Campus
28 Feb 2013
- Avaya Learning's avatar-based 3-D learning environment makes it easy for partners and customers to learn, train and complete Avaya credentials.
- New Collaborative Learning Licenses provide access to campus eBooks and online tests for product credentials—starting with Avaya IP Office
- Curriculum added for unified communications, contact centers, small and mid-size enterprise (SME) markets and networking
Launched in December 2012, the Avaya Learning Virtual Campus now adds new features including unlimited access to mentoring and practice lab sessions with virtual instructors, and a streamlined curriculum representing Avaya’s solution concentrations in unified communications (UC), contact centers, small and mid-sized enterprise (SME) markets and networking. Users can access these concentrations by visiting one of the five solution level buildings in the Avaya Learning Virtual Campus.
- Drop boxes dispersed throughout the campus and on individual learning floors containing downloadable reference materials, news and announcements.
- Instructor offices for private consultations.
- "Collaboration Circles," which let users enter a spot, raise walls and create a private space to have conversations that can’t be heard outside of the virtual walls.
- A virtual lobby and help desk with schedules and appointment capabilities, and a 150-avatar capacity auditorium for large presentations, events and seminars.
Quotes:
"Today's learner is very familiar with virtual environments—whether through gaming or social media—making this an attractive option for users when compared to physical classrooms. People are extremely busy, so we brought Avaya innovation to the process in which we train and accredit partners and customers to accommodate today’s hectic lives. The Avaya Learning Virtual Campus makes it easy to access all of the resources necessary when gaining solution expertise, and enables Avaya to increase the speed in which we deliver courses to market."
--Tom Mitchell, senior vice president, Avaya Global Sales
--Paul Edwards, director, Infrastructure Channels, IDC Corp.
Additional Information:
- Avaya Learning Virtual Campus reduces partners training time and costs by nearly 30%.1
