AVG Technologies Names Dale Fuller Acting Chairman of Board of Supervisors
Former Interim CEO of McAfee to Elevate Role in Shaping AVG's Growth as Global Leader of Security Software for Consumers and Small Businesses
AMSTERDAM, March 9, 2009- AVG Technologies, a global anti-virus and Internet security software provider with over 80 million users in 167 countries, announced today that it is has appointed Dale Fuller as acting chairman of AVG's board of supervisors. Fuller replaces Mike Hedger, who has resigned from the board. Fuller's previous executive positions include president and CEO roles at McAfee, Borland, and WhoWhere? and senior positions at Apple and NEC. Fuller has served on the AVG board of supervisors since November 2008.

Fuller's experience across a wide range of consumer and enterprise companies includes board positions at McAfee, Borland, Webgistix, Krugle, Phoenix Technologies, Guidance Software and Quest Aircraft Company.

Fuller holds an honorary Ph.D. degree from St. Petersburg State University in Russia. He has been a member of the American Association of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and serves as Chairman of the Let Them Hear Foundation.
