Babson And Banco de Chile Prepare Educators To Teach Next Generation Of Entrepreneurs
Babson College and Banco de Chile are holding a Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators (SEE) to foster entrepreneurial growth and economic development in Chile.
The Symposium runs through Thursday, August 4, in Santiago, and includes 32 participants from 15 Chilean universities. Led by Babson faculty Heidi Neck and Andrew Corbett, the program will play an integral part in leading the entrepreneurial revolution and bringing Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® to the region.
Banco de Chile has been the benefactor for several strategic initiatives that have advanced entrepreneurship in Latin America. This program will play an integral role in leading the entrepreneurial revolution in Chilean colleges and universities and build a network of like-minded educators who are dedicated to innovation in entrepreneurship education. Through Babson’s SEE program, educators learn the “art and craft” of teaching entrepreneurship, explore the logic of Entrepreneurial Thought and Action, and experience cutting-edge teaching methods for today’s dynamic business environment.
Banco de Chile-Babson SEE participants will explore the entrepreneurial process and best practices for teaching and learning entrepreneurship. The goal of the program is to develop an international cadre of innovative entrepreneurship educators who understand the importance of creating intellectual and practical connections between theory and practice in teaching. Some of the key program content includes Entrepreneurial Thought and Action, opportunity assessment, case writing and teaching, curriculum and course design, experiential learning and best practices in pedagogies. Through the SEE program, educators learn the “art and craft” of teaching entrepreneurship and experience cutting-edge teaching methods for today’s dynamic business environment. Upon returning to their academic institutions, professors will begin implementing initiatives created during the SEE program, further expanding the reach of Entrepreneurial Thought and Action.
Babson’s Symposia for Entrepreneurship Educators (SEE) have prepared more than 2,400 educators and entrepreneurs from more than 600 institutions worldwide for critical roles as educators of entrepreneurship.
