Ben’s Beauty Supply Inc. Appoints David Yoon as CEO

Ben’s Beauty Supply Inc. announced today that its chairman; Ben Im has named David Yoon as the company’s chief executive officer.

David Yoon, 49, had previously served as the company’s president since 2004. During his 21year career with Ben’s Beauty Supply Inc., David has honed his skills by managing every aspect of the beauty supply business ranging from operations to sales and marketing. Under David’s guidance, Ben’s Beauty Supply Inc. has become one of the country’s largest multi-cultural beauty distribution companies. With strategic locations in Houston, Texas – Jessup, Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ben’s Beauty Supply Inc. warehouse/showrooms encompass over 500,000 sq. ft. and offer more than 20,000 unique product skus.

In 2010, Ben’s established the company’s flagship - Beauty Design Group warehouse location. The Beauty Design Group concept provides OTC beauty retail store owners access to warehouse style shopping. Location one- offers 33,000 sq ft of beauty supply warehouse shopping that literally offers every item a store owner needs to build or operate a successful retail beauty business. The product range is broad and includes everything from fixtures to clothing, jewelry, bobby pins and everything in between. Yoon’s 2011 Beauty Design Group plans include an 80,000 sq ft expansion into Maryland and Philadelphia with two additional locations.

Yoon will assume his position on January 1. He succeeds Ben Im, the company founder and 21-year veteran. Mr. Im will take on the role of Ben’s chairman.
