SIMSBURY, Conn, November 21, 2011 - (PressReleasePoint) - BENISTAR, one of the nation’s largest administrators of group retiree medical and prescription drug plans, reported its most successful year for new business for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011.  Administrative fee revenues due to new retiree groups increased by 68% over the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.  The total number of retirees covered by the company’s group retiree medical and prescription drug carrier partners increased by 37% during the just completed fiscal year. 

BENISTAR attributes the success to its ongoing partnerships with brokers, consultants and third-party administrators to provide group retiree health solutions.  In addition, the company was able to assist its clients and partners in assessing the changing Medicare landscape due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) of 2010.
