Berger & Montague, P.C. Honored with Philadelphia VIPs Chancellor Award

On March 10, 2010, Berger & Montague, P.C. was honored as one of this year’s recipients of the Chancellor’s Award presented by the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (“VIP”).
Scott F. Cooper, Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, presented the award, which was accepted on behalf of the firm by Lawrence Deutsch. Mr. Deutsch, a shareholder at Berger & Montague and a securities litigator, has been handling cases in VIP’s Mortgage Foreclosure Program.
Robin Switzenbaum, a shareholder at Berger & Montague and a member of the Joint Board of Community Legal Services of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Legal Assistance, was also present. Ms. Switzenbaum represents homeowners in VIP’s Mortgage Foreclosure Program.
Laura Gleason, a member of the firm’s Antitrust Department, has been handling custody cases for VIP.
VIP provides crucial legal services to more than 1,000 low-income Philadelphia residents annually. The organization relies on volunteer attorneys to provide pro bono representation for these families and individuals.
