Cyber criminals are threatening information systems now more than ever. They are taking advantage of a growing attack surface that is increasing due to the greater dependence on remotely distributed networks, the proliferation of Internet-based applications and the globalized environment for information transfer. During this presentation Cahill will explain the proliferation of cyber crime and present initiatives by solution providers to combine forces and prevent cyber threats.

About Doug Cahill:


Doug Cahill joined Bit9 in 2007 as the company’s Vice President of Business Development bringing over two decades of technology leadership experience to his role as a member of Bit9’s executive team and is responsible for managing the company’s strategic partnering initiatives. Prior to Bit9, Cahill was Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at storage management software vendor AppIQ (acquired by Hewlett Packard), where he led the company's highly successful OEM distribution partnerships with leading IT brands. He was also Vice President of Product Management at HighGround Systems (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and held senior marketing, product management, and technical positions at Shiva Corporation, Progress Software and Access Technology. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a double major, Cahill started his career in IT as a Business Analyst.
