Vodacom Business today announced it has secured a multimillion rand contract, with the BKS Group, a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering and management company, to provide it with a managed service solution.

As part of the contract, Vodacom Business will integrate BKS's 17 offices around South Africa and Africa into Vodacom Business' Multi-Protocol Label Switched (MPLS) network. BKS is also moving all of its servers to Vodacom Business' new R100 million state-of-the-art Data Dentre, including Internet security solutions

Wally Beelders, Executive Director from Vodacom Business, says BKS selected Vodacom Business as we are able to provide BKS with a high-level Service Level Agreement, single bill aggregator as well as last mile access.

"We are passionate about Information Communication Technology (ICT) and pride ourselves in our comprehensive portfolio of ICT solutions to business across our state of the art converged network platform, which is built on world-class infrastructure."

Jorge Nunes, IT Manager at BKS, says they selected Vodacom Business as they were able to offer BKS the latest in telecommunications technology.

We have been extremely impressed with Vodacom Business and the way they are constantly looking towards the future in terms of technology needs."

Beelders says that by understanding exactly what companies expect from a converged communications service provider, Vodacom Business is able through its global experience, skills and knowledge, to deliver holistic solutions that address these needs.
