Boise Airport Contracts to Join PASSUR's National Field Condition Report Network
Stamford, CT, November 1, 2011— PASSUR Aerospace, Inc. (OTC: PSSR.OB) announced today that Boise Airport (BOI) has contracted for PASSUR® OPSnet™ Field Condition Report (FCR), providing airport users access to timely, accurate, and complete airport condition information on a standardized and automated platform.
Boise is the 16th U.S. airport to join the PASSUR National FCR Network, which consolidates airport conditions – including NOTAM and critical non-NOTAM information – for all participating airports onto a single screen, provides new levels of automation, and is available to airline system operation centers in the U.S. and internationally.
“PASSUR OPSnet FCR will allow us to utilize technology to enhance our operational efficiency and flexibility and improve our situational awareness,” said Richard McConnell, AAE, Airport Director, City of Boise, which owns and operates the Boise Airport. Sarah Demory, Airport Deputy Director, Operations and Security, added, “I am particularly excited about this system. Its deployment will provide our team with another tool in our toolbox to provide timely and accurate communication and information to our airport community.”
“We’re proud to add Boise to our national web-based network – the first of its kind for collaborative, streamlined, and automated management of critical airfield information,” said Jim Barry, PASSUR President and CEO.
The PASSUR Airport Operations Program
Airports are being asked to provide more cost effective, efficient, and safe airfield operations for carriers, to help them achieve greater throughput, quicker turns and fewer ground delays – critical elements of airline profitability in today’s challenging environment. Airports also want to consolidate airfield management functions onto a single platform to minimize staff requirements. The PASSUR Airport Operations Program provides airport ramp tower, operations, and communication centers the alerts, decision support, planning and analysis tools they need to run a more efficient and safe operation, and the web platform for cost effective communication, coordination, and collaboration with all the airport’s key constituencies. It includes modules for field condition reporting/eNOTAM integration, live dashboards of key operations metrics, flight and airspace visualization, and “long onboard” ground delay management (Tarmac Delay Monitor™).
