Bridges of Indiana gears up to Celebrate Disability Awareness Month in Terre Haute

March is Disability Awareness Month and Bridges of Indiana has planned two special events in Terre Haute to celebrate. Bridges of Indiana is a human resource agency dedicated to providing quality services to people with disabilities and the aging population. This agency is passionate about individualism, independence, and community integration. Because of that foundation, Bridges of Indiana finds it exceedingly important to get involved in community events and become a positive impact.

Bridges of Indiana has planned two very special events in March to celebrate Disability Awareness Month. The first event will take place on March 6 from 4-6 PM at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum. Bridges of Indiana and Child Adult Resource Services (C.A.R.S.) has teamed up with the THCM to sponsor a unique opportunity for individuals with disabilities to experience the facility.   This program, titled “Exceptional Explorations”, allows individuals with disabilities and their families to experience the THCM at NO COST in a supported setting. In order to track the number of attendees, individuals will either need to register at the kiosk located in the lobby of the Children’s Museum or online at www.bridgesofindiana.com. The second event will take place March 7 at 9:00 AM where Mayor Duke Bennett will read a proclamation and present a short speech on the importance of recognizing Disability Awareness Month in the City of Terre Haute.  Join the community at the Bridges of Indiana office located at 21 N 11^th Street for the reading of this proclamation.
